2018-19 American Ice Theatre Utah tryouts

American Ice Theatre of Utah will have open tryouts Saturday, April 21st from 10:15am-12:30pm for the 2018-19 season. Tryouts are open to skaters 15 years and older.
Tryouts are $30
Tryouts will include off-ice choreography and on-ice skills. Please come prepared to learn choreography and to show off skills from the list below.
 
 
Spirals/flexibility:
– All spirals (edges, both legs, catch foot, etc)
– Y spirals, Beillmans, K spirals, fan kicks, charlottes
Edge and gliding skills:
– Spread Eagles (inside and outside)
– Ina Bauer (inside and outside)
– Reverse Ina’s
– Hydro blades and Shoot the Ducks
– Pivots (all types)
Stops:
– Working knowledge off all types of stops both directions
Skating Skills:
– Confident with all basic skills (edges, crossovers, 3-turns, Mohawks, mazurkas, Tao toes, etc)
– Working knowledge on advanced skills (twizzles, loops, rockers, counters, brackets, floppy Mohawks, etc)
Jump Skills:
– Split jump, Stag, double stag, russian
– Tuck loop, falling leaf, backward toe split jump

Centennial Park FSC hosts Skate Fest at Salt Lake Sports Complex June 7-9, 2018

SAVE THE DATE!

Centennial Park FSC will be hosting the 2018 Skate Fest Competition at the Salt Lake Sports Complex this coming June 7-9, 2018. The Sports Complex is also the venue for the 2019 Pacific Coast Sectional Championships.

This competition is part of the USFS National Solo Dance Series. There will also be a test session held in conjunction with this competition.

Registration is now open for Park City’s Grassroots to Champions seminar on March 24th

Registration is open for FSCPC’s Grassroots to Champions seminar www.grassrootstoChampions.com at www.figureskatingclubofparkcity.org. Limited spots are available.

There is also a Basic Skills group class on Friday, March 23rd from 12:15-1:15pm

A limited quantity of private or semi-private lessons and group classes are also available on Wednesday, March 21st through Friday, March 23rd. Applicable admission fees to Park City Ice Arena or the Figure Skating Club of Park City will apply.

This seminar is also an endorsed Professional Skaters Association (PSA) event and registered coaches will earn 6 PSA educational credits for their participation.
